Strengthening Protection Against Sexual Harassment in the Workplace: A Workshop Held in Zagreb as Part of the European Project Teamwork2

A workshop on sexual harassment in the workplace was held in Zagreb as part of the European project Teamwork2. The aim is to establish an internal legal framework that serves as a foundation for processing cases of sexual harassment and to provide better protection for victims.

The workshop focused on protection against sexual harassment within the journalism profession.

"This year, in a campaign called 'Free and Safe,' I collected testimonies from our female colleagues in media outlets, and it is truly horrifying. We are trying to convey that you must talk about this and that you must defend yourself; this is not normal, it is not part of the job," said Maja Sever, President of the Croatian Journalists' Union.

"This system still does not function as it should; reports are still mostly anonymous because victims fear revealing their identities. They do not trust the protection system and do not believe that it is effective," emphasized Nebojša Paunović, advisor to the Gender Equality Ombudsperson.

Additionally, Croatian Radio Television reported on the project during the night news program (Dnevnik 3). December 2, 2024.
